Together against the seaweed crisis.
Seaweed influxes are threatening ecosystems, human health, and several countries' economies. The SSCN works with affected communities to raise awareness and develop solutions for this growing issue.

Our network currently consists of students, teachers, community members and scientists from the UK, Ghana, Mexico and Jamaica.
 OUR APPROACH
Education
We offer a variety of educational material that teaches younger generations about seaweed through curriculum-based subjects.
These resources span from lectures, to practical activities and workshops.
Citizen Science
Anyone can become a citizen scientist by visiting our monitoring points. By capturing photos of the coast, you can help scientists track and understand seaweed patterns.
International Community
Our participating schools can connect with peers worldwide facing similar challenges.
Through our online platform, students can share their experiences and broaden their horizons using the community feature.
